There's been a death in the family.
We're still in some shock, so you're going to have to forgive us. It wasn't entirely unexpected, though. He didn't eat his breakfast, and he just wasn't looking his normal peppy self. We spent some time with him this morning, and I think we both got everything off our chests that we needed to.
With great sadness and grief, we bid adieu to Barnabas, our faithful and forever our first Beta.
He provided many hours of enjoyment and swam many inches around his tiny bowl. He lived a long and profitable life. We always lamented that he would not let us bring home a Lady Barnabas for him, clinging tightly to his bachelor-hood.
He was a quiet soul, never saying much. He preferred to spend hours alone instead of fraternizing with the lady-types. We didn't push, knowing he would blossom in his own time, and we are grateful for the time we did get with him.
So, Barnabas, here's to you! We'll always remember your sparkling water and colorful personality!

Barnabas will live on in our laughter :) That was hilarious. Nice thing is you could get a new one real cheap and never know any difference.
afjdsal;fjdkl;sajfsd (internet laughing). Poor Barnabas. He can never be replaced, but will you be getting another fishy in the near future?
